I have always thought...

white birds
I have always thought that stars turn into white birds in the morning light
& sleep with their heads under their wings
until the dusk begins to walk through the streets.

I don't have the grace of a swan...

Pelican on the foreshore at Hastings, Westernport Bay

I don't have the grace of a swan
but all that I have is
big and
beautiful

All creatures seem to have their own special form of "grace".
Watching a flock of Pelicans cooperate to feed on a school of fish is like watching the finest choreographed ballet!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, graceful, Pelican!

This is a beautiful bird. He has a little more black than our white pelican. Visiting from Wild Bird Wednesday. :)

I'd as soon see a big beautiful pelican as a swan. But both are lovely in their own way.

They may appear to be clumsy and ungainly, but they are so graceful in flight.
