I have always thought...

white birds
I have always thought that stars turn into white birds in the morning light
& sleep with their heads under their wings
until the dusk begins to walk through the streets.

Gammy

Meet the guy we call Gammy.
He is a sulphur-crested cockatoo with a broken wing; it won't fold in to his body.
But still he flies and makes his presence loudly felt in the neighbourhood.
Definitely a character with the strength of a wild spirit.

I love stories that have 'happy endings'...even if injured beyond healing...if he can fly and perch, he'll do okay. He's mighty pretty sitting with the warm sun on his body!!!

Great photo of this handsome chap. Good to know his 'disability' doesn't stop him getting around :-))
