I have always thought...

white birds
I have always thought that stars turn into white birds in the morning light
& sleep with their heads under their wings
until the dusk begins to walk through the streets.

Someone's Baby at Coolart

This little one was swimming around in the Coolart wetlands.
He seemed alone.
I have no idea whose baby this may be.
Any ideas?

I hope it's old enough to survive on it's own. It sure is cute!

How adorable. I hope someone found the little one and took care of it.

Yes, it's a grebe of some kind. And they ARE quite small, even adults.

Hi I thought I had already left a comment on this post. This Grebe looks like an Australasian Grebe.

It well may be an adult, as they do not grow very large, at least here in the US, where the Pied-billed Grebe looks quite similar.
