I have always thought...

white birds
I have always thought that stars turn into white birds in the morning light
& sleep with their heads under their wings
until the dusk begins to walk through the streets.

Straw-Necked Ibis at Coolart

If you wish to see a range of birds nesting, Spring is the best time to visit Coolart wetlands at Somers on the Mornington Peninsula.

The straw-necked ibis has fascinating feather colours that shine and change in the sunlight.

Great photos of the Ibis. There feathers are especially beautiful with the sun shining on them - and your photos are great.

That ibis is a new one on me Gemma. Superb iridescence on those feathers. The wetlands must be teeming with wonderful birds.
